21c Museum Hotel
This building used to be a bank and when it was built, was the tallest building in town. It recently became a hotel and museum so it wouldn't be torn down. Don't be afraid to go inside just because the building is so large. You can see all of their art exhibits free of charge!

Continue east on Main Street until the intersection of Main and Limestone. Cross Main and stop in front of the waterfall fountain.

Chinese Horse Statue
This was a gift from China, a country far away. He came here to live and here he will stay. His legs are running, his tail is curled. This was the perfect present for the Horse Capital of the World.

Go west on Main Street until 215 W Main Street.

Can you imitate the horses's stance?
Historic Courthouse Square
This big stone building was built in 1898. It was the fourth courthouse on this spot to date. It has a restaurant and offices and is home to Big Lex. The site of fun festivals and markets, you never know what will happen next.

Can you find a blue horse?
Lexington Opera House
This building has a fun story and its history is long. The first performance here was My Old Kentucky Home, our state's favorite song. Many plays and shows took place on this stage. Like magician Harry Houdini whose act was quite the rage!

Walk east on Short Street one block until you reach Postmaster's Pub.

Lexington Public Library, Central Library
The library is right here, it's not a very long walk. And inside you'll find the world's largest ceiling clock! Don't forget the pendulum, the artwork and the books! Stop on in and take a good look.

Continue walking east for two blocks and cross the street. Find the Chase Tower building.

Man O'War Mural
Man O'War might have been the greatest racehorse of all time! This mural depicts him winning the Belmont Stakes - right in his prime. Well known for his style, he ran with such grace. Man O'War never never shied away from a race.

Continue east on Short, turn right on Upper to the corner of Upper and Main

Mary Todd Lincoln House
Mary Todd Lincoln was Abraham Lincoln's wife. This house is where she spent part of her life. Future president Lincoln visited several times over the years. You can see some furniture, artwork, and history here!

Cross Main Street at the intersection of Jefferson Street. Turn right on Short Street and walk to the intersection of Short and Broadway. (You'll pass the house where MTL's was born!)

Smiley Pete's Marker
This marker is dedicated to Lexington's town dog, Smiley Pete. He's remembered for playing and sleeping and never turning down a treat. With a friendly smile, he became everyone's friend. This marker makes sure his story never ends!

Cross Limestone at the corner of Main and Limestone.

Triangle Park
Rupp Arena is a great place to catch a concert, game or show. If you want to see the Wildcats play, this is the place to go! Triangle Park is a wonderful place to sit and wait. During summer you can admire the fountain; in winter you can ice skate!

Let's head to the center of the city, a camel marks the spot! He tells us the exact middle point, believe it or not. Pointing north and south, this is Mile Marker Zero. It can help you find wherever you need to go!
